About Sheryl
I am an experienced educator who believes that teaching is more than delivering lessons. For me, teaching is about connecting with students, understanding how they learn, and helping them discover that they are capable of more than they think.
I have several years of classroom teaching experience, particularly in Business, Social Studies, and related subjects. Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students with different abilities, personalities, and learning needs. This taught me that there is no single teaching method that works for everyone.
I genuinely enjoy seeing the moment when a student finally understands something that was once difficult for them.
I want to teach because I know that sometimes a student doesn’t need someone to simply give them the answer. They need someone who will patiently explain, encourage them to try again, and help them build confidence.

I believe that effective tutoring is not about simply explaining lessons—it is about understanding the student behind the lesson.
In my online tutoring sessions, I take a personalized, student-centered approach. I first identify the student’s strengths, learning gaps, and areas where they need more confidence. From there, I adjust my teaching style, explanations, activities, and pace according to the student’s needs.
My goal is not only to help students get better grades, but also to help them understand what they are learning, become more confident, and eventually learn independently.
