About Payge
As a kid, I grew up with a passion for French literature and French culture in general. As soon as I was just 6 years old, I was put into French immersion and carried through with the program up until I graduated from high school (where I eventually received my DELF) in 2020. I have decided to take what I've learned and share it with those around me, I want to influence and teach students who are just as passionate about learning other languages as I was when I was growing up. I want to show those who are eager but unsure, that learning the unfamiliar isn't as hard as it seems.

As a French tutor, my approach is centered on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that caters to students from elementary through high school. I utilize a variety of interactive techniques, such as games, songs, and conversational practice, to make learning French enjoyable and relatable for younger students, while incorporating more complex grammar and vocabulary for high school learners. I emphasize the importance of cultural context, helping students understand the relevance of language in real-life situations. By personalizing lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of each student, I aim to build their confidence and enthusiasm for the French language, ensuring they not only acquire linguistic skills but also develop a genuine appreciation for the culture. Through consistent feedback and encouragement, I strive to empower my students to express themselves effectively in French, regardless of their age or proficiency level.
A typical lesson plan for me would include a one on one conversation with my student surrounding the goals that they aspire to achieve in the long-term, I would then assess the student's skill level and cater to them a lesson plan involving take home worksheets and verbal face to face sessions.
