About Breana
I instructed four laboratory sections (up to 96 students) for Biology & Society in the fall semester, covering foundational biological concepts for both major and non-major students. In another semester, I instructed two laboratory and two discussion sections for General Biology I in the spring semester, supporting students through core cell biology, genetics, and organismal biology content. I developed and revised lab protocols, teaching presentations, and quizzes weekly to support varied learning objectives and student comprehension. Furthermore, I held weekly office hours providing individualized academic support and resolved student concerns professionally. I graded laboratory work weekly and managed student communication and resources through Canvas LMS.

I make a lot of diagrams to explain biological concepts and use them in slide presentations to provide a visual element to my explanations to the students. I can help students understand concepts in biology, environmental science, botany, and more. I can tailor tutoring sessions to any level from elementary science to college courses.
