About Mia

I’m here to build confidence in my students. I encourage questions as well as feedback. I believe in tailoring my tutoring to individualized learning styles. I aim to provide a calm, therapeutic, and easygoing environment and will meet my students where they are. This is a judgment-free zone! With critical thinking and an open mind to learning. I believe all students have the ability to be successful.

About the lesson

Hi I’m Mia! I’m a Registered Nurse with experience in various nursing specialties. I graduated from nursing school 8 years ago and can’t help but hear from current nursing students that the curriculum is just as rigorous and often just as puzzling. No matter how much you study it never seems to be enough and often the right answer is just not good enough. It has to be, “ the most correct answer.” With my experience as a tutor with Sigma Alpha Chi honors society and first hand experience at the bedside and beyond, I can help students apply critical thinking and best practice nursing methods to break down study material. I help students identify the difference between distracting material and the information they should focus on. I believe it is important to individualize my tutoring methods based on various learning styles.
