About the lesson
About Me:
I am a graduate of University College London, having achieved a First Class Honours BASc in Arts and Sciences with a major in Health and Environment. I was also chosen for the Dean's List for my high grades. These studies included courses in Biochemistry, Genetics, Anthropology, Geography and Social Sciences. Additionally, I studied Spanish throughout my degree and attended the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain during a study abroad year.
This breadth of knowledge at degree level allows me to make connections between subject areas and put abstract concepts into context, which both engages students and allows them to develop their lateral thinking skills.
I have three A-grade A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Geography, AS Philosophy and Ethics as well as 10 A* and 1 A-grade GCSEs, including Triple Science, French, Spanish, Latin and Geography.
When I'm not tutoring I love to sing in choir and go rock climbing!

About Natasha
My Experience:
While I was studying for my A-Levels, I tutored primary school aged children in English and Maths. I also have two years experience volunteering at Addison Primary School (W14) as a classroom assistant, providing one-to-one reading support to Key Stage 2 pupils. Currently, I volunteer at the Royal Institution during Family Fun Days, explaining and demonstrating science concepts to children and adults of all ages.
Finally I have 4 years of experience working at a Brown Ledge Camp in the US during the summers, teaching canoeing and kayaking to children and teenagers aged 9 to 17. This included a two year leadership development programme with training in the psychology of different teaching and learning styles, enabling me to adapt my teaching to the specific needs of the individual. I also spent one of these summers as an au pair to a 14-month old child. Additionally, each year I mentored a group of 4-5 children, providing pastoral and developmental support.
