About the lesson

I’ve had the privilege of teaching math across a range of grade levels, from elementary to high school, which has allowed me to adjust my approach to fit the unique needs of each group. In the elementary grades, I focused on building strong foundational skills in areas like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I found that making math fun and interactive was key, so I used games, hands-on activities, and visual aids to engage students and help them understand concepts in an approachable way. It was important to me that students felt confident in their abilities, so I worked hard to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

When I transitioned to teaching middle and high school math, I had the opportunity to dive deeper into more complex topics like algebra, geometry, and calculus. I prioritized fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging my students to approach math with curiosity and perseverance. I integrated real-world applications into my lessons to show students how math connects to their everyday lives.
