I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fifth grade reading. I have over 10 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities and/or have significant academic deficiencies. I am very familiar with research-based strategies to improve a scholar's reading ability.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching interactive lessons that include, songs, rhymes, and hand gestures. I teach phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle, fluency, phonics, comprehension, and written expression for elementary students. I believe that every child should have an individualized plan that meets each child within their zone of learning. I use reassessment, progress monitoring, and post assessments to ensure learning is taking place.
