About Larah
As a college graduate, I have had many courses across different disciplines, but have been especially successful in English courses. I have worked full time as a Pre-K teacher and have established teaching methods and resources that can be applied across many ages and levels of education. I feel that as a young tutor, I can still relate to being a student, which can be used as a positive aspect of sessions, while having enough education to be able to properly teach others.

I find that incentivized learning and application learning is what works for many students, so I use age-appropriate rewards during lessons (such as candy or a short break). A typical session may look like reviewing any relevant course work and crafting similar work to go through together with the student, then allowing time for the students to do another sample assignment. I go as fast or as slow as I feel the students needs to foster proper learning and understanding. Lessons are available for any level, from elementary through undergraduate courses. In college, I minored in English, which enables me to help with essay writing and reading comprehension at the college level. I can also help with any thesis and research writing.
