About Salma
Everything is made out of chemistry. From your house, to your car engine, to your body itself, all of life is based in chemistry. This is what I learned majoring in Biochemistry at USC, working in biochemical and organic chemical research, and currently as I pursue my master's. It certainly isn't easy work, and it takes a lot of practice to succeed in, but mastery of chemistry is so deeply rewarding. My organic chemistry professor used to say "it doesn't matter when you get it, or how you get it, all that matters is that you get it." Together, we can learn about the building blocks of life, at your pace, the way you learn best!

Lessons with me consist of a 10 minute review/concept overview, followed by practice problems! Students have 5 minutes to complete each problem, before they walk me through their answer! I want each lesson to be a collaborative learning experience based on the needs of the student!

When I took chemistry, Salma was a really good tutor! She asks questions about your learning style and figures out how to present the material in a way that makes the most sense for you. After our first lesson, the material actually made sense to me and I scored an A on the corresponding test, after previously scoring Cs and Ds. She creates slides that are helpful for visual learners, and explains the concept at a comfortable pace, making sure you understand. And after each lesson, we finished with practice problems to solidify my understanding. Overall, I highly recommend her for anyone struggling with chemistry!
Salma is an incredibly patient and friendly tutor. She's very understanding and my grades improved immensely working with her.
