About Melissa
I have a Bachelor's degree in education. I am in my eighth year of classroom teaching. Before that, I worked for one year with students who had a hard time in a typical classroom, so they needed individual support. I have worked with a range of students. Their abilities ranged from being a few grade levels below expectations, to needing enrichment and challenge activities. I have experience working with students in a whole class setting, a small group of 3-5 students, and 1 on 1.

My lessons will be focused on whatever skills YOU need support in. I will assess, collect data, and show you how to use resources to help you succeed. I know helpful tips to learn AND remember concepts. Reading did not come easy to me as a student, so I understand how it feels being a student who does not like to read. Also, I am used to working with students who do not have much foundational knowledge, so I can meet you where ever you are in your undertanding.
