About MARICAR
Hey students.
I am Ms. Maricar. I am a dedicated educator who believes that learning should be meaningful, engaging, and supportive. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and becoming more confident in their abilities.
My approach to teaching is patient, organized, and learner-centered. I recognize that every student has different strengths, needs, and ways of learning, so I aim to make lessons clear, practical, and suited to each learner’s level and goals.
As an educator, I value professionalism, respect, and continuous improvement. My goal is not only to help students understand their lessons but also to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine appreciation for learning. I look forward to helping my students grow academically while building the confidence they need to succeed.

As an experienced Science teacher and tutor, I use a learner-centered and adaptive approach based on each student’s grade level, learning needs, and the complexity of the subject matter. I encourage students to explore concepts independently before providing appropriate scaffolding and guidance. Rather than simply giving answers, I challenge students to think critically, analyze information, ask meaningful questions, and develop their own well-reasoned conclusions. My goal is to build not only subject knowledge but also confidence and independence in learning.
My typical lesson follows the 4A’s approach: Activity, Analysis, Abstraction, and Application. I begin with an activity or diagnostic task to determine the student’s prior knowledge and level of understanding. From there, I use guided questions and discussion to analyze concepts, clarify key principles, and connect learning to practical situations. The lesson concludes with application activities that allow students to demonstrate their understanding through problem-solving and real-world examples.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my combination of teaching experience, consistency, and professionalism. I am dependable, prepared, and highly conscious of time because I believe every tutoring session should be purposeful and productive. I have taught Science to students in Grades 7–9 and Grade 12 STEM, giving me experience working with learners at different academic levels and abilities. Whether a student needs to strengthen foundational concepts, improve academic performance, or prepare for more advanced Science lessons, I provide structured guidance while encouraging them to become confident, analytical, and independent learners.
