About Joel
Hello! I am a graduate from the University of Dallas with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (cum laude). I believe in quality, excellence in my work, and will readily work to ensure my students thrive in their academic life! I believe in cultivating a life of the mind, that is, a life that is steeped in an intimate love for learning and I hope to inspire this same love in all my students!

My teaching method follows the liberal arts tradition. That is, it emphasizes beauty and the intrinsic value of learning but does not undervalue the utility of learning. As a tutor, I can guarantee not only that my students will learn but that they will discover a newfound appreciation for truth and beauty in literature (and perhaps life).
