About Phoebe

I am currently workin on a doctoral degree. I graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a departmental honor in chemistry. I have 3 years of tutoring experience in high school and college level math, physics and chemistry class.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around building a strong foundation of understanding for my students. I believe that it is important to start with the basics and work my way up to more complex concepts, ensuring that my students have a thorough understanding of each concept before moving on to the next one.

One of the ways I achieve this is by breaking down complex topics into smaller, more manageable parts. I find that this approach makes it easier for my students to grasp each concept and build upon their knowledge as we move forward. I also try to use real-life examples and relatable scenarios to help my students understand how the concepts we are learning can be applied in practical situations.

Another important aspect of my approach is creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their thoughts and ideas, so I make sure to create a welcoming atmosphere where they feel free to do so. I believe that this helps to foster a love of learning and encourages my students to take an active role in their own education.
