About Constance
1. Inspire the next generation By becoming a teacher you'll get job satisfaction that few will experience. Other than parents, teachers have arguably the biggest influence on a child's life. The visible results you'll see from pupils are guaranteed to send you home with a sense of pride! 2. A true vocation Much like doctors, nurses and vets, teaching is more than just a job. It's a true vocation. Many people work to live, but the rewarding nature means teachers get job satisfaction unmatched by most professions! 3. A passion for the subject There are few who can use their passion in their job. Teachers get to do this every day, with the opportunity to instill this enthusiasm in their pupils. My advice to an

Be honest. This helps to establish rapport and trust, the two most critical elements to a successful tutoring relationship.
Be flexible. This means being willing to adjust techniques and approaches to meet the learning styles of the student.
Be patient. What is obvious or easy for me may not be so for my student. Learn not to show annoyance in your speech or body language.
Be a good listener. Learn to pick up clues in my student's speech that enable me to understand how he is really feeling. A good listener does not dominate the conversation!
Be willing to share my own experiences. By sharing information about what I have encountered, the student may feel relieved that he is not alone. Sharing experiences and lessons learned goes a long way toward building trust and support. It also helps the student build self-confidence.
Be a collaborator. The tutor-student relationship should be viewed as a partnership. I am not there to take the place of the instructor. Let the student know l am there to work with her to supplement classroom and individual study.
Teach the student how to learn. As a tutor my ultimate goal is to help the student become an independent learner.

Constance and I were colleagues for a certain period, and most things i could not understand or know, she patiently taught me. Several times I disturb her but she never considered it. So she's highly recommended by me because of her patience and competence.
She's confident, and also keen on learning new things.View more recommendations
