About Harveer

Hey I'm Harveer! Since a young age, I have had a passion for Maths and it developed to be my strongest subject very early on. This led me to achieve a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and an A* at A-Level. After this, I secured a place at UCL studying Civil Engineering and graduated with a 2:1. I currently work at a large construction consultancy as a graduate quantity surveyor. During revision classes in the build-up to exams, I would often sit down with a group of friends and peers to explain questions and methods in past exam papers. I found this very rewarding and they told me how my teaching style allowed them to not only understand the necessary steps to solve a question but also the general format of the exam.

About the lesson

I know that students can perform really well and I believe everyone can excel in Maths; however, the schooling system can be unfair. Due to a lack of one-to-one time, students may lack tailored teaching to their individual knowledge and target areas as well as be unable to freely ask as many questions as they would like to. This is where my teaching comes in. I believe that students would perform much better if they could break down each question into digestible parts and understand the exam format. Through my teaching, I will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both the content and exam board specification and also equip them with the mindset that I used in the build-up to my exams. This will allow them to greatly progress in Maths and potentially even their other subjects too.
