You are taking this class because it sparks an interest. I want to guide you to follow that interest and, hopefully, grow that into a passion. I love to teach, coach and nurture. I love to stimulate and provoke thoughts that can lead to solutions to current day problems and issues.

About the lesson

This class is for anyone who is taking an interest in social sciences and is looking to for a great foundational source for knowledge.

I have an academic background in criminology and sociology. Professionally, I started out in law enforcement while pursuing my Masters Degree in Social Work. Currently, I am Mental Health Social Worker working with underprivileged youth and their families in Los Angeles, California. My ultimate goal is to join my knowledge of law, my expertise in social work, and my passion for youth advocacy, to design policy that will benefit and improve children’s’ lives.

My lesson plan will include current affairs case study, reflecting on news articles, diving into cultural, racial, economics and history play a part in how policy is designed, how laws are enacted, and how systems are established.
