About Taylor

I am a passionate work-study student who is looking to continue aiding in the future of education! I am a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in English and minor in education. I plan to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Virginia this fall. I genuinely love working to make individuals the best and most capable versions of themselves. I was Vice President of my sorority, Tri Delta, where I was able to aid in the development of our 490-member chapter, I have worked as an observational intern for a local pediatric speech therapy outpatient clinic, and I work as a part-time nanny for three children. My goal is to see you succeed and be proud of all you have accomplished! In my free time, I love working out, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends. I have a dog, Maverick, who I adopted my sophomore year of college and he is truly the best addition to my life! I cannot wait to start this journey of education and personal growth with you!

About the lesson

I have a variety of lesson plans that I have been able to create and significant experience working with ages 2 years old-18 years old through speech therapy, literacy, essay preparation and more! I really focus on meeting students where they are and ensuring that my lessons are geared towards their needs, backgrounds, and passions. English and literature are subject areas that demand creativity and personal expression which is what I hope to hone through my work with each student. I am patient, understanding, and will be by you every step of the way in your learning process! I also have worked with individuals with cognitive, physical, and developmental disabilities and delays, so I feel prepared to cater every session to your needs.

Taylor is by far the most amazing teacher, mentor and caregiver I have ever seen with children. Whether it’s English, math, reading, swim coaching or just guiding them to have the right manners/behavior in a social setting she is an expert.

When she lived in GA, during middle and high school, she was the most sought after baby sitter in the community as well as coach for swim lessons. During her undergraduate studies at UofSC in English with an Education minor, she Nanny’s for two little boys and an infant (ages 4, almost 3 and 6 months) all while maintaining a 4.2 in her studies along with being VP of her Tri Delta sorority.

She will help your child excel in any area that you require.
