About Meghana
I'm a data scientist at a high-growth FinTech startup. I come qualified with an MS in Data Science from the University of Rochester, and a BE in Information Science from an undergraduate program in India.
I have nearly 2 years of full-time work experience, and 3 internships, I've been a Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant in Graduate School. I love teaching and that's why I choose to spend my free time tutoring people who require my help!

I have been a tutor on Varsity Tutors for 6+ months, with an average client rating of 5 stars. I tutored mainly data science and computer science undergraduate students on Python, SQL, data science, and machine learning. I have even tutored some adult learners looking to restart their careers in computer science. I only performed one-on-one tutoring sessions.
I love tutoring because I find it rewarding to watch a light go on in my student's eyes when I see they've understood something because of my help. I cater to the student's needs and am ready to do my best to ensure all students get the help and attention they need and deserve.
I am able to tutor GRE Quantitative and GRE Analytical Writing, having written the GRE myself and scoring 167/170 in GRE Quant and 4.5/6 in GRE Analytical Writing.
I've been a straight-A student from middle school till my Master's degree. I provide my own studying tips that help ensure students are understanding their material, not memorize it. Through note-taking, color coordinating, and reinforcement learning, I am able to ensure students improve the quality of their studying. Not only will they be working hard, but they will also be working smartly.
I have 5+years of experience with Python and SQL, having been introduced to both of them during my undergraduate studies. I worked on a more advanced level in my Master's degree, and now as a Data Scientist, Python and SQL are the bread and butter of my day-to-day job.
I am a certified Grade 8 pianist from the Trinity College of London, passing with Distinction in Grades 3,4,7, and 8.
