About Priya
As a recent graduate, my educational journey is still very real to me! Looking back at my own academic journey with more clarity and insight than I had at the time, I want to help make the process as easy as possible for my students, so that they can excel without feeling as overwhelmed as I did.
I began tutoring while still at University, and found it incredibly rewarding to see the passion I have for learning reflected in my students. My goal as a tutor is to remove the obstacles that stand in the way of genuine excitement for the subject, by providing a toolkit for the practical elements of GCSE and A-level exams (content checklists, exam technique guidance and mark-scheme optimisation) and encouraging curiosity for the subject matter.

My approach to teaching is always designed with the student's individual learning style. I have experience in tutoring students with a range of different needs; from GCSE students who speak English as an Additional Language, to high-achievers looking for a place at a top university.
My lessons last an hour, and are targeted towards the student's overall goals. For GCSE and A-level students, this involves a combination of encouraging curious engagement with the subject matter while equipping them with the skills needed to pick up marks in the exam. This is achieved through paying close attention to the syllabus, including mark schemes and examiner's reports, while encouraging students to think creatively and expansively about the content, and to expand on their own interests. I aim to provide each of my students with a toolkit by which they can show off their passion, intelligence and creativity in a way that maximises results and allows them to be the best they can be.
