About Jan
I am an Archaeology and Anthropology graduate from the University of Oxford and was an English tutor during this time to support my studies. I am now going on to train to be a history teacher at the University of Cambridge. I believe 1-to-1 learning can make students confident in their own abilities.

My lessons follow a scheme of work to ensure that my students can recognise language techniques when they are used, explain their effect, and use them independently. Lessons are tailored to suit the individual needs of my student and ultimately culminate in a marked assessment so students are aware of their progress.
