About Jessie
I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping people build confidence and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. Throughout my own education, I found that the subjects I enjoyed most were the ones I learnt most effectively. When learning is engaging and enjoyable, students are naturally more motivated, curious, and confident in their abilities. This is something I have seen reflected throughout my professional experience as well, where supporting and developing others has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
For me, tutoring is about more than improving grades. It’s about helping students understand concepts, develop confidence in their own abilities, and create a positive attitude towards learning. Seeing a student overcome a challenge, make progress, and realise their potential is what makes tutoring so rewarding.

My approach to tutoring is centred on building confidence as well as knowledge. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, adapting my teaching style to suit their learning needs and goals. Having studied languages and lived abroad, I value different perspectives and understand that every student learns differently. I believe that when students truly understand a concept, rather than simply memorising it, they are far more likely to succeed and enjoy the learning process.
As a Chartered Accountant, I bring both academic expertise and real-world experience to my teaching. I aim to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their confidence. My goal is not only to help students achieve strong results, but also to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine enjoyment.
