About Abbie
Hello! I'm Abbie and I love history! I had an amazing history teacher for my GCSE's and since then, it has been my goal to work with children and young people within education.
I have worked in a school before as a Learning Mentor, so know lots of learning techniques to support you, as we all have different ways of learning.
I want to be inspire you to enjoy the subject that is history and to help you realise that it's not just all about learning dates! My tutoring sessions will involve lots of discussion, asking the big 'Who, Why, What' questions, as well as asking what you think.

Lessons will be online and typically will last 1 hour, but this can be flexible depending on need.
Teaching methods will range from reading and analysing sources, to discussion based learning. There will also be the opportunity for those wanting some revision style sessions if they are taking exams.
I have experience tutoring primary school aged and have covered a range of topics within the curriculum. I also have experience working with secondary age students and my background is working within an alternative provision school. I can understand and recognise the needs of students with SEN, as well as students that may struggle with anxiety and adapt tutoring sessions accordingly.
