About Rafael
My name is Rafael, I am an experienced Theatre Director, Facilitator, and English Tutor. I have specialised in English tutoring for several years and find it is one of my favourite jobs I've ever worked. I love working with young people, seeing their ability grow and establishing them as strong students in the subject of English. About me:
I am a graduate from the University of Exeter specialising in BA English Literature. I have over 4 years' experience as a tutor - having worked for sites such as MyTutor, Edumentor and in-person private tutoring. I am proven in raising grades from Level 4 to Level 8 (English GCSE) in one year. I love learning and want to find a way for you to love learning too!
About the lessons:
Lessons typically run up to 1 hour. For younger students, I base my approach around their given curriculum, establishing the building blocks of strong grammar, writing technique and basic analysis.
For older students, I assess ability then focus on key target areas that we work on together. I am happy to be led by the student and want to find a way to build confidence and excitement for English.
