About Om
I'm Om, a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) currently working in a Cardiothoracic ICU — one of the highest-acuity units in the hospital. Before nursing school, I spent three years as a patient care technician, which means I've experienced nursing education from every angle: as a tech on the floor, as a student in the classroom, and now as a working RN. I've successfully guided friends through NCLEX prep and nursing coursework, and I built my own study systems to pass my own exam — so I know firsthand what actually works.
Teaching Method
I teach clinical reasoning, not memorization. NCLEX and nursing school reward the ability to think like a nurse, so every lesson starts with the why behind a lab value, medication, or action — then builds toward NCLEX-style practice questions, with careful review of exactly why each wrong answer is wrong. Every concept is grounded in real bedside experience, since I'm working active ICU shifts each week.
A Typical Session
We start with a quick check-in on your current focus, move into a clear concept walkthrough using real clinical examples, then work through practice questions together. We review any missed questions in depth, and I send you off with a focused plan for what to study before we meet again.
What Sets Me Apart
Most tutors teach from a textbook. I teach from the bedside — actively practicing in a high-acuity ICU means the concepts I explain are current and clinically real, not just theoretical. My own path from tech to student to RN gives me genuine insight into exactly where students get stuck and why.
Who I Work With
Nursing students at any level, NCLEX-RN candidates (first-time or retaking), incoming nursing students preparing for their first semester, and PCTs/CNAs considering the transition into nursing school.

RN, BSN currently working in a Cardiothoracic ICU, with three years as a patient care technician before nursing school. I've already informally tutored friends through NCLEX prep and coursework.
Teaching Method
I focus on clinical reasoning over memorization — explaining the why behind labs, meds, and actions, then practicing NCLEX-style questions and breaking down why wrong answers are wrong.
Typical Session
Quick check-in → concept walkthrough with real clinical examples → practice questions → review missed answers → short plan for next time.
What Sets Me Apart
Currently working bedside in a high-acuity ICU, so explanations come from live clinical experience, not just textbooks. My own path (tech → student → RN) means I know exactly where students get stuck.
Who It's For
Nursing students at any level, NCLEX-RN candidates (first-time or retaking), incoming nursing students, and PCTs/CNAs considering the jump to nursing school.

Having gone to school together, I’ve seen firsthand how exceptional Om is at making complex topics simple and approachable. He is a patient, highly engaging Superprof tutor who truly cares about his students' success.
What I appreciate most about his teaching style is how he breaks down intimidating concepts into clear, logical steps rather than just giving quick answers. During a late-night study session tackling a tough project, Om calmly guided me through the problem step-by-step until it all clicked.
I strongly recommend Om to anyone on Superprof looking for a dedicated mentor who will build both your understanding and your confidence!Om was recommended to me by a friend. He helped me study for the NCLEX and for some of my nursing classes when I felt unconfident in my knowledge. Om was able to give me helpful study tools and tips that I still use. When Om was tutoring me, he made sure that I really understood the concepts and was able to apply them in different scenarios. Overall very understanding, informative, and helped me gain confidence.
