About Tara

Hi, I'm Tara, an LSE graduate with 4+ years of tutoring experience. I have taught students from around the world, supporting learners from different age groups, academic levels, and cultural backgrounds.

Having lived and studied in China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, I bring an international perspective to my teaching. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Japanese, which enables me to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and make learning more accessible and engaging.

I specialise in Mathematics, Statistics, and Chinese. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. About the lesson

Hello, I'm Tara, a dedicated and patient tutor offering lessons in Mathematics, Statistics, and Chinese for primary and secondary school students in the UK.

My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, understanding, and independent learning. I adapt each lesson to the student's individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. I explain concepts clearly using step-by-step methods, real-life examples, practice questions, and regular feedback to help students master challenging topics. For Mathematics and Statistics, I emphasise problem-solving techniques and exam strategies. For Chinese, I develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through engaging and interactive activities.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's age and requirements.

I have experience supporting students of different abilities, from those needing extra help with schoolwork to those aiming for higher grades and exam success. My lessons are suitable for primary school pupils, secondary school students, GCSE learners, and beginners or intermediate learners of Chinese.
