About Lydie (Lo)
As an interdisciplinary biologist passionate about environmental education, I love to share my knowledge about the natural world. I am also an artist and a writer, and I am driven by my curiosity and creativity. I have a BS in Conservation Biology & Ecology, along with minors in Spanish and Italian. My strengths include written and verbal communication, organization, creative problem-solving, and both professional, academic, creative and scientific writing (including MLA & APA styles).

I approach each student on a case-by-case basis according to their needs. In general, I like to accommodate multiple learning styles in each lesson, using whiteboards for visual cues and tying in practical applications so as to avoid purely lecturing at a student. As long as the student provides me with the general context of their courses, I can teach up to university-level Biology, English, Italian, and Spanish. I have been tutoring all my life: in high school, I was a peer mentor and a volunteer at an after-school program for disadvantaged youth; before graduating college, I also served as a TA. I'm familiar with neurodiversity and learning differences and can completely personalize lessons to each student.
