About Sarah
I believe having a strong sense of self-identity and self-esteem will provide the foundation for many kid's outlook and motivation levels. Additionally, learning to make mistakes and recovering from them is the key to growth and effective learning. Simple memorization and short-term recall will have no impact on the student's long-term learning. Keeping the student engaged with real-life and real-time current events alongside the subject matter will expand the student's horizons exponentially.
My experience in retail, tutoring, business, and customer service has taught me to put the client's interest above all. Additionally, fostering a meaningful connection and providing the best solutions for problems are shown in my work experience and school projects. I always put the student's success first, and stay flexible to their needs.

My teaching method incorporates weekly planning, S.M.A.R.T. goals, and lesson reflections.
A typical lesson plan includes one worksheet summarizing the day's worth of work, reviewing theory, and practice questions, and following up with quizzes. Lastly, I would show a current event article or an interactive take-at-home activity.
I focus all my attention on the student's well-being academically and mentally. Practicing affirmations and reflecting on the lessons, while following a disciplined curriculum, will greatly benefit the student in the long run.
I graduated from the California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. My interests include digital marketing, front-end web development, and customer service.
My strong suits for teaching classes are Algebra I, Algebra II, Piano, Life Science, and Introductory Psychology.
