About Karina
I recently earned a B.S. in Physics from Texas Tech University. While there, I gained experience teaching students from a range of educational backgrounds. This taught me that teaching is more than simply understanding the content. Teaching is the skill of translating concepts into means that each student can understand.

I employ teaching methods that align with the student's strengths. After accessing their learning style, I customize the lesson to fit their needs. Typically, we will review the material covered in the last session, answer any lingering questions, test their understanding, then move forward with new material. As a student, I learned most when the instructor prioritized matching their teaching style to my learning style. This is something I am dedicated to mimic in my time as an instructor. Similarly, in these lessons, I include questions that I had when learning the subject. I find it helpful for students know that their questions and doubts are welcomed and encouraged. This allows my students to see that their questions in the material are not "silly" or "simple", but instead meaningful and valid. My lessons are mostly for students K-12.
