About Bishop
I graduated from Southern Virginia University with my Bachelor’s in Psychology. Believe it or not, math is involved in almost every detail. I am married, and will soon have 2 daughters (one on the way and a 2 year old). I’m not one to give up on someone, which means I expect that my students never give up on themselves. I believe in teamwork and most importantly, I believe in making the world a better place one person at a time. I work hard to motivate my students, and praise each of them for their hard earned work.

I chunk the lessons down so that they are easier to understand. I enjoy engagement and interaction, so I invite my students to get involved in learning. I celebrate the achievements each of my students have, and look for those “ah-ha” moments when it all clicks. I break down the math, and even consider feedback from the students, because I’m willing to adapt to their needs. I also give real-life examples to help make math a little easier to understand.
