About Sophia
I severed as a Biology tutor at South Carolina’s Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics. During which I helped students prepare for tests, work on assignments and strengthen their understanding of material. I have taken a number of courses in Biology, including Genetics, Evolution, Botany, and Neuroscience, earning high grades in all of them.

My lessons will focus on solidifying student’s understandings of both broad concepts and smaller ideas. I aim for not just memorization based learning but for student to be able to apply concepts in the future. This will be question driven and mostly conversation based, however I am willing to adapt to the students learning styles in order to strengthen their learning.
