About Kaitlin
I am a graduate from ODU with a Master's in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. I spent three years as a long-term substitute and special education teacher for third through fifth grade students. I have worked with students with various disabilities including specific learning disabilities, hearing impairments, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, and autism. I possess a wide set of skills to foster a welcoming teaching environment to provide remediation and reinforcement of previously taught skills for each student I work with. My main goal is to ensure quality instruction and support to each student.

I work to foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment for students to take an interest in their learning through the use of a variety of learning methods and approaches. Through small group instruction, students receive an individualized approach to meet them at their level to help remediate and reinforce new material as well as previously taught skills.
