About Chiara
As someone who loves to learn, I feel very passionately about removing barriers for students and encouraging extra help. I have experience tutoring and grading for multiple college-level math classes, including Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, and Mathematical Thinking. Additionally, I have assisted in grading and editing essays for various professors during my time as an undergraduate. Everybody learns differently and at varying paces, so I hope to eliminate some of the anxiety that comes along with this and help students genuinely enjoy learning!

I believe in a personalized and collaborative approach to tutoring to ensure that students genuinely understand and absorb material, rather than simply memorizing. To do so, I generally evaluate current difficulties a student may have and find the root of the misunderstanding. For math and physics, I believe that example problems and a step-by-step approach is often best. In terms of English lessons, reading examples and citing the difference between an ideal response versus a poorer response help teach important elements. In general, I believe that practice and constructive feedback are the best ways for students to learn and enjoy it!
