About Chikosolu

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and have extensive professional experience in communication, customer service, client support, and executive assistance. I h
also have over 6 years classroom experience in teaching.

My academic and professional background has developed my ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, explain ideas effectively, and interact confidently with people from different backgrounds.

I am currently undertaking professional training in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) to further develop my knowledge of effective English teaching methods.

As a tutor, I take professionalism very seriously, I prepare my lessons, respect my students' time, listen carefully to their learning needs, and create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.

I believe every learner is different, so I adapt my approach to suit each student's level, goals, and pace of learning. My aim is to provide engaging and practical lessons that help students communicate more confidently in English Language.

I am committed to being patient, prepared, reliable, and supportive while helping each student make meaningful progress.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:
I believe learning English should be practical, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. My goal is not to only help students understand English, but also to give them the confidence to use it naturally in real-life situations.

My lessons are student-centered. I first identify and understand the student's current level, learning goals, strengths, and areas that need improvement. I then structure lessons around those needs while creating a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My Teaching Methods and Techniques:
I use a combination of conversation practice, explanations, examples, guided exercises, reading, listening, vocabulary building, grammar practice, pronunciation correction, and real-life scenarios.

For students who want to improve their speaking skills, I place particular emphasis on "conversation and practical communication." We discuss everyday topics and situations so that students can develop fluency, confidence, vocabulary and natural expression.

For students who need English for work or professional communication, I incorporate workplace conversations, interviews, presentations, customer communication, emails, business vocabulary into lessons.

A Typical Lesson Plan: A typical lesson begins with a short review of the previous lesson. We then introduce the day's topic and work through explanations and practical examples. The student gets lots of opportunities to practice through exercises and conversation.

At the end of the lesson, we review what was learned, identify areas that need more practice, and agree on what the student should focus on before the next class.

What sets me apart is my patience, supportive and practical approach. I understand that students learn differently, so I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach.

With my background in Mass Communication, Customer Service, and Professional Communication, I have extensive experience communicating with different people and explaining ideas clearly. My priority is to help students become more confident English speakers.
