About Collins
I am an experienced and dedicated educator with 16 years of teaching experience in Business Studies and Geography, working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and learning needs. Over the course of my career, I have developed a strong reputation for delivering clear, structured, and engaging lessons that help students build confidence, deepen understanding, and achieve their academic goals. I hold a Bachelor of Education, which provides the foundation for my teaching practice, alongside a Master’s degree in Administration, giving me a strong understanding of leadership, organisational structures, and decision-making in real-world contexts. In addition, I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), which brings a high level of professional credibility and practical expertise to my Business Studies teaching. This combination of academic qualifications and professional experience allows me to connect theory with real-world application in a meaningful and relevant way. In Business Studies, my teaching focuses on helping students understand how organisations operate, how markets function, and how financial and strategic decisions are made. I place strong emphasis on key concepts such as finance, marketing, operations, and management, while also developing students’ analytical, problem-solving, and evaluation skills. My background in accounting enables me to explain financial topics clearly and confidently, breaking down complex ideas into manageable and accessible steps. In Geography, I support students in exploring the relationships between people, places, and environments. My lessons encourage students to think critically about global issues such as development, sustainability, climate change, and population, while strengthening their skills in data interpretation, case study analysis, and extended writing. As an online teacher, I understand the importance of clarity, structure, and communication. I design lessons that are easy to follow, well organised, and engaging, ensuring students feel supported even in a virtual learning environment. I encourage active participation, independent thinking, and regular reflection, while providing clear guidance, constructive feedback, and high expectations. Above all, I am committed to professionalism, reliability, and student success. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge ideas, and achieve their full potential.
