About Matthew
Professionally, I have worked as a teacher for 3 years, and have seen success from my students at multiple grade levels in various subjects. As a student myself, I felt as though I struggled because I rarely had teachers that truly cared. This is why I became a teacher myself, to guide and encourage students to TRULY become the best versions of themselves, and to see success however they may choose. ALL students need support and invested educators to reach their true potential.

As a teacher/tutor, my students have proven success learning through different methods. For my social studies classes, my mastery of content has allowed me to convey material to students in a variety of ways. Lessons are very often interactive, and utilize a Socratic Method style of teaching, where "back and forth" with students is encouraged and required. I have taught social studies/history from grades 6-12 with a proven track record of success.
For math, I have learned to work with students at their own pace, and master each of the basic mathematical concepts before ramping up the process into intricate problems/tasks. Students have learned new ways to tackle math with me as the "support" math teacher at schools I have worked at.
All lessons are student centered and focused on complete mastery and success to allow scholars to achieve their highest potential.
