About Makayla

I’m excited to be your teacher because I’m passionate about helping students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. I’ve spent years studying and teaching English, and I truly believe that strong communication skills can open doors in every area of life. I love making learning engaging, relevant, and even fun—and I always strive to create a classroom where everyone feels supported and challenged. Outside of teaching, I enjoy [insert a hobby or interest—like reading mystery novels, hiking, or playing music], and I’m always looking for new ways to connect what we learn in class to the real world. I’m here to help you succeed, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

About the lesson

Students should take my class because it offers a strong foundation in English and reading while also preparing them for important standardized tests. In this course, students will improve their comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills through engaging and targeted instruction. Whether they’re preparing for the SAT, ACT, or other exams, the class provides strategies and practice that boost confidence and performance. Most importantly, students will become more thoughtful readers and effective communicators—skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
