About April Joy
Beyond making math make sense, I want you to know exactly what to expect from me as your tutor. When we work together, you are getting a dedicated professional who is 100% invested in your success. Mistakes aren't failures here—they are just data points telling us where to adjust. You can ask any question, as many times as you need, without feeling rushed or judged. My job is to find the exact explanation that makes the lightbulb go on for you.

Look, I know what a lot of people think about math. They think it’s just a mountain of formulas to memorize, endless tests, and rules that don't seem to apply to real life. But here’s the truth: I’m not here to turn you into a human calculator—your phone can already do that.
My goal in our tutoring sessions isn't just to help you pass a test. It's to build a toolkit you’ll use for the rest of your life. You don't have to be a "math person" to succeed here. You just need to show up ready to try, fail, adjust, and figure it out. Together, we’re going to make math make sense.
