About Gabi
I am a Ph.D. candidate in biological anthropology at Stony Brook University. I graduated with honors from Boston University and have a B.A. in biological anthropology. For three years I have taught anatomy to high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students who are pursuing healthcare careers (e.g., physical therapist, physician assistant, etc.).

My teaching methods focus on ensuring students can synthesize the information they are learning and identify the major overarching concepts. I incorporate active recall which tends to help students commit information to long-term memory. I am more than happy to work with students to find which studying techniques work best for them. I have some experience working with ESL students and students with ADHD. I have been told that I am welcoming and kind which makes students feel comfortable and at ease. I am also very patient and non-judgmental. My lessons are for 7th-12th graders looking for help on subjects related to biology and physiology, for undergraduates looking for help on intro biology, human physiology, human anatomy, or human osteology, and for graduate students looking for help on human anatomy or human osteology.
