About Josephine
I am a young professional with 6+ years of tutoring and mentor experience. I was established as a peer tutor throughout high school and undergrad where I learned to help students with respect and build confidence in their abilities. During the pandemic, I noticed my tutees struggled more with adjusting to online learning and independent studying which completely shifted the way I approach teaching. I shifted my overall goal to not only help you hit your target goal (i.e. pass this test/class, understand the Krebs cycle, etc.) but also build skills to be an independent learner and push the boundaries of this new system we are learning in.

You aren't limited by what you can understand, you're limited by how it's explained. My teaching technique is to learn what you understand and your strengths in learning, then apply that to the new concepts you want to know. What we can work on can vary from study prep for upcoming exams, homework help, reviewing graded work, MCAT prep, reviewing new concepts, or whatever you may need while. Throughout that process, I will also try to identify your learning style and help you with general skills to make a larger impact in your learning career.
