About Rachel
As a graduate of Arizona State University, I know firsthand that academic writing can sometimes feel overwhelming. Throughout my own studies, I learned that having the right guidance and constructive feedback can make a huge difference, and that's the same kind of support I aim to provide my students.
I want every student I work with to feel comfortable asking questions and confident that they're making progress. My goal isn't just to help you improve one assignment—it's to help you build skills that will benefit you throughout your education. Whether we're working on essay structure, grammar, critical analysis, or developing stronger arguments, I'll explain concepts clearly and provide practical, encouraging feedback!

My approach as a tutor is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I believe everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student's needs, learning pace, and goals. I am very patient and understand that things may not click the first time around!
When working with students, I focus on building understanding rather than simply correcting mistakes. I guide them through essay structure, critical thinking, grammar, and academic writing techniques, explaining not only what could be improved but also why. My goal is to help students become more independent and confident writers over time.
My lessons are suitable for high school, college, and university students who are looking to strengthen their academic writing, improve essay structure, develop critical analysis skills, or gain confidence in written communication. Whether a student needs help with a single assignment or ongoing support, I tailor each lesson to their individual needs and academic level.
