About Laurie
I have been an Educator for 41 years. My job as your tutor is to help you understand the work you are doing. My job is also to give you the tools to be a confident learner who understands and is able to solve the problems independently. I currently have several students that I work with on reading, writing, and math. They range in grade level from first grade to ninth grade.

My lessons are based on the information given to me by the parents as to what their children need to work on. I prepare weekly lessons based on this information. I make my lessons simple, fun and interactive. I use manipulative to help the younger students understand the concepts we are working on. For the older students, I wor the same problems they are working on so I can explain the steps to them on how to solve the problems.
