About Ferhat
I am currently an apprentice radiographer working in the NHS, alongside studying for an undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging. I also hold previous degrees in health and science-related subjects, which have given me a strong understanding of biology, anatomy, and physiology. Alongside my clinical training, I have developed a genuine passion for teaching and helping students feel more confident in their learning.
In my free time, I enjoy playing football and keeping up to date with developments in healthcare by reading medical journal research, which helps me stay curious and engaged with science beyond the classroom. I understand first-hand how challenging A-level biology can be, as I personally benefited greatly from having a tutor during my own studies. That support made a huge difference to my confidence and exam performance, and it inspired me to want to provide the same encouragement and guidance to other students.
I aim to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students succeed in exams, but also to support them in pursuing their future education and career ambitions.

I use a student-centred, structured approach tailored to each learner’s needs. Lessons focus on building a strong understanding of key biological concepts using clear explanations, diagrams, exam-style questions, and real-world examples. I emphasise active recall, exam technique, and confidence-building, adapting my pace and teaching style to suit the student.
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, with flexibility for shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s concentration, goals, and exam timetable.
I am an apprentice radiographer working in the NHS, currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging. This gives me a strong background in human biology, anatomy, physiology, and medical science, as well as experience explaining complex concepts clearly. I am familiar with GCSE and A-level biology specifications and how to approach exam questions effectively.
