About Alex
Over the course of my teaching experience, I have encountered all types of students and have learned exactly how to tailor lessons to your needs. I can provide lots of guidance and support alongside effective teaching as your tutor.
With a strong academic background, I can provide experience as both a student and a tutor to help you achieve the best possible grades in the following subjects:
- A-level: Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology
- GCSEs: Maths, English, Triple Science, History, Geography and Music
- Piano: including theory, up to Grade 8 level
- English as a Second Language
I have recently completed a 230-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Diploma, so I can tutor English with confidence.

My priority when teaching is to balance enjoyment and intensity in lessons. As I have been learning piano from a young age, I empathise a lot with children who dread every piano lesson! I have witnessed in both my students and myself that once you start loving playing the piano, your progress becomes exponential, which is why I keep the student's needs at the centre of my lessons.
For younger learners I also have plenty of games to keep them engaged throughout the lesson.
I offer lessons between 30 minutes to 1 hour and I am happy to teach at your location.
