About Val
I've been drumming for 12 years starting from the very bottom not knowing what a drum kit was. I am now able to play everything I'm asked to with confidence and pupils I've been teaching had massive improvements! I have a grade 8 in drums and I am currently teaching music in primary schools in Brighton. I have a degree in music achieving a 2.1 at LIPA where I learned music production, composition and music business plus digital marketing. I have been working as tape op and tech and been gigging and recording in studios for various artists. I will be on an American tour in Spring 2021 with the band 'The Maension'

DRUMS (performance, rhythm sight reading, music theory basics, rudiments, coordination, playing to a metronome and backing tracks with click track. Progressing to the intermediate levels and up to professional standards. I’d love to see a beginner become a professional drummer and I want to be the right guide to the success. I will teach a topic on each session using books and PDFs as well as notation software. Feedback the next lesson and so on, literally build it up to the top! Details
I offer half-hour lessons for £8 and taster sessions of 15 minutes for £5. My teaching does not stop at the end of each lesson! I am always happy to answer any questions via email and I always give out detailed documents or videos after the lessons to guide the students for home practice. I am aware that not everyone can afford drum lessons as I was myself struggling to keep studying for many years! Because of this, I encourage students from unprivileged backgrounds to reach out so we can discuss fees and bundles!
