About Gina Y
ABOUT ME: *I have been a language instructor for over 16 years. I have published my own Spanish teaching Curriculum (2 books - Habla Cristiano 1 and 2 and I am currently working on Habla Cristiano Level 3. *I am a Mexican Citizen, raised and educated in the U.S. *Although Spanish is my Native Language, my American upbringing has provided me with an excellent comprehension of the English Language. *I am also, a certified Mexican Court Interpreter, Text Translator, and Simultaneous, Consecutive Interpreter. Here are a few of the different Courses that I have successfully administered: *Spanish/English native speaker with a focus on TEFL *Teaching English for a Specific Purpose,*& Spanish as a Foreign Language. *I have taught a wide variety of courses including: TOEFL IBT/PBT, TOEIC, ACT, SAT, SUBJECT SAT, SSAT, LSAT, GRE, Cambridge, IELTS, Spanish Language & Culture, Technical English, Journalism and Medical Writing, Advanced Composition, Tax Law, International Business, CV and Cover Letter Writing. *Through my business Lingua Professional Services ((concealed information) I also provide Training and Support by Teaching English for a Specific Purpose) at National, Transnational, and International Companies in the following areas: Engineering, Architecture, Law, Medicine, Marketing and Branding, Sales, Human Resources, Law, Finance, Economics. *I have provided my services to many Multinational Organizations and Local Government Agencies, Tour Operators and Entrepreneurs. *I have also provided my services as a freelance Translator, Proofreader and Editor to various Hospital groups in the U.S, (for the last five years where I specialize in a broad range of Medical and Health topics). *In addition, I have provided support (Written/Oral,) to many Business Professionals from the Pan American Institute of Higher Business Management. *My Passion is Authoring, and I co-authored, HERspectives – (Rules and Tools that Build Successful Women - How I Achieved Work, Life, Balance), published July, 2014: *In 2016 I also created the Spanish Teaching series, “Habla Cristiano, Spanish as a Second Language” levels 1 & 2, this series is geared towards Spanish language instruction for the Clergy.

I approach a subject/level according to each student's needs. Every class is tailored accordingly with structure and flexibility. Throughout my teaching experience, I have published two books to teach non-natives of Spanish. I am working on a third one. I have used the Silent Way, The Natural approach, as well as other Teaching Approaches. I also worked at the American School Foundation of Jalisco, and taught workshops for English as a Second Language Teacher Training. I have also taught Business and Medical Writing and standardized test preparation: TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE, ACT, SAT, SUBJECT SAT, SSAT, Cambridge, among others.

Perfect! Gina created lessons that were perfectly tailored to my needs. She is patient and is highly experienced. I would recommend her to everyone who wants to improve their Spanish or start from scratch!
- Jyotsna's level of Spanish is high, at an Upper Intermediate level. She doesn't have any problems with comprehension. As far as her oral fluency, she has a thorough overview of the language, it's just a matter of filling in some minor/small gaps, such as grammar points.
