About Valerio
I have a degree in History and Philosophy at the Sapienza University of Rome. I served for 5 years in the Navy as an Officer in charge of the Press Office, coordinating the communication activities of the Armed Force, also directly in the operational theater. I worked in various editorial offices of periodicals, earning the Journalists Card. I have been working for 10 years as a Licensed Tourist Guide of Rome in English, dealing daily in the presence of a selected international clientele.

My didactic method aims, first of all, to deepen the difficulties as well as the unspoken resources of the student to provide targeted and effective support. On the other hand, I also dedicate important time to assessing the degree of motivation for studying by the student. I believe that sometimes, faced with a picture of generalized insufficiencies, it is important to analyze the point of view of those directly involved before embarking on a recovery strategy that is usually challenging. The objectives of the didactic work are established case by case, based on what emerges from a first lesson in didactic analysis. The contents of the lessons are the same as those proposed at school, but clarified and revised as needed. In addition to understanding the topics, it is always important for students to acquire a study method that makes them safer and more independent in school work, at home and at school. I trust that the philosophical, literary, historical conception can be as unreliable as stubbornly, the student can bring back what he has learned on the scheme. I believe that it is the best technique, which I have refined during the decades of study, to memorize what is necessary. Finally, my experience as a Tourist Guide allows me to link, whenever possible, some aspects of the lesson with the artistic, archaeological and urbanistic reality of Rome. This allows the student to indirectly become passionate about the lesson, perceiving how it is also a different and alive aspect.
