About Ca
Successful scholars learn from excellent mentors. I credit my former teachers for guiding me to my professional career as a lifelong educator. They saw something positive in me and pushed me to be my very best. Using the positive techniques that my mentors have taught me, I will nudge you to have higher self-confidence and to exert strength that you were unaware that you had. My scholastic career consists of earning a bachelor's degree in English, with an emphasis on writing and a minor in theater and library science. This degree allowed me to win a scholarship to the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou), where I earned a MA degree in print journalism. My third degree is a MA in English education from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. My grandson was the Salutatorian of his 8th grade graduating class, with high school test scores in the core subjects.

Lessons are geared for third grade to college students. I assist scholars with writing essays to term papers. If the scholar needs to discuss a novel or have a "book talk", I am available to dissect the literature with you. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I believe in your success. I have prided myself on the success that my past scholars have enjoyed, as a result of adhering to a consistent tutoring schedule. I earned the Golden Apple from a 6th grade student's mother, who saw her son transformed from a non-reader to an avid reader, who had confidence in himself and excelled on standardized tests.
