About Petar

I completed a Master in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and Master in Methodology of
Teaching Physics and Astronomy at the University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Sofia, Bulgaria. Trilingual in English, Bulgarian and Russian. I amcertified from the Physics Teachers program held at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland in 2017. I am the author of an article with recommendations for improvements in the Bulgarian Educational System: "Shaping Together the Road for the Bulgarian Education".
During my years in Sofia University, I was assigned to lead lectures and seminars to my fellow students
and Professors. I have extensive tutoring experience giving private tutoring for seven years to College
students. With my two years of teaching experience as a High School Physics Teacher, my interest grows and becomes a calling to teach and make an impact. I strive to pass on my passion, knowledge and the
experience which I have accumulated throughout the years to our next generation. “What is a gift for if
it’s not shared”.

About the lesson

A wise man once said: "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree,
it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Not all students are "geniuses" in Physics or
Mathematics. But if someone is not so good in the Natural Sciences, that doesn't mean he is stupid.
That person has a gift in some other area. That's why I strongly believe that all students should be
treated with equal respect and attention.
When I explain something I use a lot of metaphors from everyday life, projecting complicated
topics through the mental prism of the student (breaking down complicated notions into understandable
concepts). I am giving my best in introducing the studied material in the most comprehensible way for
everybody in my class to understand it. "If you can't explain it to a six-year-old, you don't understand it
yourself." - Albert Einstein.
I intend to provide a unique, creative, fun, and dynamic atmosphere to ignite the interest of my
students. Physics is my passion and I tend to pass it on my students. Like Walter Lewin said: "Teachers
who make physics boring are criminals." The Universe is an amazing place full of mysteries waiting to
be explored, and the job of the teacher is to show that to the students.
