About Nekha

Hello, my name is Nekha, and I’m from a small city in the UK! I give engaging and personalised tutoring lessons, to a range of students!

I break down the difficult material and exam technique in Religious Studies, into a simpler format, and I can patiently work with you to facilitate your understanding, so you can quickly progress.

I have had experience with volunteering to work with students struggling with French, in my high school. I really enjoyed this, because I found the role immensely fulfilling - being able to help students understand the language better, and watching them gradually improve their skills, was incredibly satisfying. This led me to want to consider a tutoring position with language students.

Apart from tutoring, and learning languages (I speak 3 to a high level, and am currently learning German), I enjoy reading, karate, and have a passion for animals!

About the lesson

I achieved 5 A*s in my A-levels, for Biology, Chemistry, Religious Education, and French, as well as on my EPQ. At GCSE I achieved eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, and my subjects included History, French, Geography, and Religious Education.

If you’re looking for one-on-one tutoring, that is enthusiastic, and catered to the areas you need to target, I’m the one to contact. I break down the difficult concepts you’ve been taught, into a simpler and more engaging format, and I can patiently work with you to facilitate your understanding, so you can achieve the grades you need. I will use a variety of teaching techniques to best explain the information you need to know.

I truly believe that understanding is the first step to truly learning anything, so this will always be ensured first! This will mean communication with you, the student, to focus on what you need help with. I use a variety of engaging techniques, like mnemonics and flashcards, to memorise the information you need to know.

After the learning is done, practice makes the most difference, not only in being able to retain information, but also to ensure the best possible exam technique, that will score high marks in any test. So this would be step 2 - ensuring you get the practice you need, as well as the feedback on your tests, so you can constantly improve!

Questions, feedback, and active participation (to the level the individual student is comfortable with) are a vital part of my lessons, as I believe they are the only way to truly learn and grow, so they are always welcome.
