About Diana
As a former and current advanced college level math student, tutor and substitute teacher, I not only thrive in my work performance, but I absolutely love Math, and Science. Because of my love for the challenge and willingness of these subjects, I purposely expose myself to a variety of Math and Science courses in diverse settings.
The first setting was college. While in college, I challenged myself by being a tutor while also taking the course. I tutored other classmates and was willing to face the most challenging problems.
The next setting was tutoring outside of college. I formed my own business "Tutoring Etc." and began to tutor High School, Jr High, and Elementary students on a weekly basis. I have been exposed to students with English disabilities, and also students with different learning abilities.
The last setting was being hired as a caretaker and tutor for children and parents in home-school settings.
Based on the experience above, I not only have 10 plus years in Math and Science tutoring, but I also have a certification in "CPR" Child Parent Relationship and "Child Brain Development." Coupled with my experiences, I understand the importance of working with students of all ages on their developmental, psychological, and social levels. I strongly believe in a hands on visual approach because it encourages students to participate and be enthusiastic for what they are learning.

My Tutoring Approach
Group Tutoring
I have found that group tutoring make students not only learn the subject, but learn and not forget the subject. With my approach, I get to know the student(s) and work with the students based on his or her learning style. Most students will have different learning styles, so getting into groups will teach the student how to learn from each other.
One-on-One Tutoring
My one-on-one tutoring comes in four different approaches
1.) Get to know the student
2.) Work with the teacher/school schedule
3.) Let the student take mini test before getting started
